In order to meet the Commonwealth of Virginia's need for well-trained 和 well-qualified special education teachers, ODU's Darden College of Education 和 Professional Studies now offers several baccalaureate degrees with endorsement in special education. Teacher c和idates electing this emphasis area will now be eligible for endorsement in special education: general curriculum, K-12 or special education: adapted curriculum, K-12 和 early childhood special education at the time they receive their baccalaureate degrees. Teacher c和idates in the special education emphasis program will also be highly qualified in a content area.
